THANK YOU SOLSTICE RAFFLE BASKET DONORS AND HELPERS!

Before the snow melted, the Mad River Path Association shared a wonderful evening in celebration of the Solstice Season, on the evening of Saturday, December 8, wrapping up a great Valley Arts’ Country Christmas. The fire barrels were all lit with utmost care, in hopes that plenty of hearty people soon would be there – and they were! They came to the Mad River Taste Place (thanks, Mary, Robin, John, and crew!) and many walked over to the Lawson’s Finest Liquids taproom (thanks to Sean and Karen and your staff!). Blue Stone Pizza offered a 30% off discount coupon to all attendees, and the Big Picture Theater followed up with free movie tickets during the week.

Steve Robbins and the folks at NorthLand Construction helped get the fire barrels organized, and Rudy Polwin, Rocky Belier, and Charlie Hosford kept them going!

Thanks to the donors who helped us make up two great raffle baskets: in one of the baskets, donated by The Store, a selection of Lawson’s Finest beers and glassware, an American Flatbread gift card, and Cabot cheese, and the other filled with delectable Taste Place local products – Mountain Valley Honey, von Trapp Farmstead meats and cheeses, Tonewood Maple products, a Blue Stone pizza gift card, Scrag Mountain Maple syrup, and Quayl’s totally excellent chocolates. So good!

Happy 2019 to all, with the Viking toast we all shared at the event before throwing our fire-dream cards into the fire: Til Ars Ok Fridr! (Roughly, happy new year and peace!). The Valley is a great place to live, visit, and recreate, and so many give so much – all year round – to make it better.
